Updated May, 2007
The Bridge SDK, which is new for CS3, enables developers to integrate with and extend Bridge. This SDK shows developers how to program with the JavaScript API to Bridge, and how to develop plug-ins (external libraries) for Bridge in C/C++ and call this code from JavaScript. The external object mechanism can be used to write plug-ins for Adobe Creative Suite applications that have integrated ExtendScript, an Adobe JavaScript implementation.
The May, 2007 update contains an enhanced “JavaScript Tools Guide”, an updated “Bridge CS3 JavaScript Reference”, and sample code demonstrating use of the XMP scripting wrapper and the Adobe scripting-based XML parser, which implements a subset of the E4X standard (ECMA-357).
The following folders and files are contained within the Bridge SDK:

The ExtendScript Toolkit (ESTK) 2.0 is a development and debugging tool for JavaScript scripts included with AdobeĀ® CS3 Suites and applications such as Bridge, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. ESTK 2.0 is a new and enhanced version that allows you to create, edit and debug ExtendScript (Adobe's JavaScript language) all with an updated user interface, a new text engine, and the ability to debug more than one script at a time.
The ESTK 2.0.2 update fixes some minor bugs that were in the ExtendScript Toolkit 2.0.1 release.
